Ginger Sesame Pork Burgers
Serves 4
Ingredients- 1½ pounds ground pork
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1½ teaspoons sesame oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Serve with sriracha and mayonnaise (optional)
Instructions
- Light the grill or preheat a grill pan. Mix the pork with the scallions, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, kosher salt and pepper in a bowl. Shape the meat into four 3/4-inch thick patties.
- Place the burgers on the grill and cook, turning once, until done, about 8 minutes.
- Toast the buns on the grill. Meanwhile, toss the coleslaw mix in a medium bowl with rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil — season with salt and pepper.
- Set the burgers on the buns and serve topped with coleslaw.
